SERVING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES SINCE 1979

Founded in 1979 by Jerry and Cathy Swerdlick, Electronic Vision Access Solutions is a family run, privately held corporation, located in Westerly, Rhode Island. EVAS specializes in the design and manufacturing of Computer-Based Assistive Technology Solutions for people who are visually, physically, hearing or learning disabled. By developing the unique process of combining assistive technology, application software and computers, EVAS is a pioneer in the hi-tech world of Plug & Play AT Solutions.

EVAS AND DELL™ ALLIANCE

EVAS, an industry-leading provider of Accessibility Solutions, has teamed with Dell to create computer-based assistive technology specifically designed for people who are visually, physically, hearing or
learning disabled. Now, people with disabilities can benefit from EVAS’ experience as a provider of accessible computers and the superior quality, support and service offered by Dell. Our Plug & Play Systems run right out of the box, with Application Software, Peripherals and assistive technology installed and configured.

EVAS’ Assistive Technology Solutions are tools that can be used to gain independence - an independence which can open the doors to further education or employment opportunities and a better quality of life.

We have created a series of computers based on two innovative assistive technology products; ZoomText and Guide. Our ZoomText based systems provide large print and speech access to Microsoft® Windows® and related application software. Our Guide based systems offer a suite of easy-to-use software applications with built-in large print and speech. Low Vision Computers by EVAS provide access, for people who are visually impaired, to one of today's most useful forms of technology, the computer. This site offers access to product specifications, news, references and on-line presentations.
